Famous Phil's Sub Shop

I must say my recent visit to Famous Phil's subs shop exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in I could tell that this family run business was legit. In business for 60 years, they really do pay close attention to quality. I ordered the steak bomb sandwich and it had plenty of flavor, steak was cooked perfect. Portions were large / enough to eat half and save half for later. One of the best cheesesteaks around and that's not a compliment I toss around lightly. Will def be back.

Customer service is outstanding food is outstanding. I was having a rough morning after working a long 12 hour overnight shift and decided to stop by for a sub the staff greeted me with all smiles and made me feel welcomed. Those little things show there are still good people around

So I'm from The Bronx, this morning I started to want a chop cheese sandwich. You cook the meat add the seasonings and cheese and they cook it with the spatulas, chopping up the meat. So eventually I Google where's the nearest place that sells chop cheese? Famous Phil's came so I called and asked if they made it she said what is it? We have hamburger subs I said the meat is chopped up. Not a problem come on over. When I tell you it tasted just like being back home omg! I've lived in Florida over 20 years there are many foods here that remind me off home. And I see all you complaining about the space or renovations. It is fine the way it is it not meant for you to come and sit down it's a sub shop. You get it and go! Definitely felt like being back home!! Shelia and Ramonda were a pleasure to chat with and I appreciate the accommodation they made for me other places have flat out refused. I will definitely be returning there!!! Oh I almost forgot in the picture that's half of the sub and that drink is a medium, it's huge!!!! I couldn't attach them but they are in the photos.

When I was a kid over 40 years, I've wonder what the cheesesteak taste like. I was pleasantly surprised it's in the same locations. As many businesses came and gone Famous Phil's sub still remains. My daughter college graduate is my food critic. She took 1 look at and realized yep this is a good cheesesteak. The look on her face was enough to know we got a winner. I took 1 bite it was amazing, awesome not a lot of grease. This cheesesteak is better than sonny's. My daughter and I will continue buying cheesesteak. I give it 1 billion thumbs up. The staff was super friendly.

Best sub ive had in a while! Fresh ingredients, hearty meat portions and really soft and tasty bread. The signature hot sauce is a must have. Spicy and sweet. There's no place to sit inside but the food is good you will want to eat it in the parking lot. The man and woman at the front were very friendly and made the wait for the sub go by quickly. Im not really a sub person, but this place just turned me into a loyal customer. I will definitely be back! They also have a frequent buyer punch card.

Authentic Philly Steaks! Awesome flavor, they've got the recipes down to a science!! Worth a visit for a solid Philly Sub. They have other options as well. Be sure to bring Cash, they don't accept card, their reason being "If it ain't broke, don't change it". Completely understandable, credit card companies charge an arm and a leg on their fees. Can't blame em. Solid food check it out! Gem in the ruff.

First Time visited this place,my girlfriend was getting a tattoo close by, I saw this place decided to give them a try since I checked out the reviews first. As soon as I walked in all the ladies that worked their three generations were the kindest most welcoming ladies I have come across in a long time, they made me feel as if I were in their home at their kitchen table having dinner. The daughter offered the chair for me to sit and eat at the counter, We all had a great conversation and keep in mind this was at closing time.Delicious sandwich I will definitely go back. Ladies if you ever read this”Thank You for being so sweet and kind to me”.

I absolutely love Famous Phil's and have since back when they were Fat Freddie's! My go-to is the cheese steak with peppers and onions, and their delicious relishy hot sauce on the side. Its so good and different from all other Phillys. In an amazing way! Don't forget to get your loyalty card!!
